SKDMUN RULES
Rules and Regulations

1. Each delegation must have a minimum of 4 delegates and a maximum of 10 delegates. Students of grades VIII-XII.

2. Attendance and Punctuality:

All delegates must attend all sessions and activities punctually.

Delegates are required to remain in their assigned committees during sessions unless permitted by the chair.

Roll calls will be conducted at the beginning of each session.

3. Dress Code:

Delegates must adhere to a formal dress code, which includes business attire. Casual clothing is not permitted.

Name badges must be worn at all times during the conference.
-

4. Code of Conduct:

Respectful behaviour is expected at all times. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of disrespect will not be tolerated.

Delegates must address each other and the chairs formally and courteously.

Delegates must follow instructions from the chairs and the organizing committee.

5. Preparation and Participation:

Delegates are expected to thoroughly research their assigned countries and topics
-
Active participation in debates, caucuses, and other activities is mandatory.
-
Delegates should prepare opening speeches, position papers, and resolution drafts in advance.

6. Use of Electronic Devices:
-
Electronic devices should only be used for research and note-taking during sessions.
-
Unauthorized use of devices, such as for gaming or social media, is prohibited.

Delegates must ensure their devices are charged and bring any necessary chargers or power banks.

7. Position Papers:

Delegates must submit their position papers beforehand.
-
Papers should be well-researched and should align with the policies of their assigned countries.

Plagiarism in position papers is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.

8. Decorum in Sessions:

Delegates must follow the rules of parliamentary procedure as outlined by the chairs.
-
Speaking out of turn, interrupting others or causing disruptions will result in warnings or penalties.

Delegates should raise their placards to be recognized by the chair before speaking.

9. Resolution Writing:
-
Resolutions must be written according to the provided format and guidelines.
-
Collaboration with other delegates is encouraged, but plagiarism will not be tolerated.

Resolutions should address the issues at hand and propose practical solutions.

10. Disciplinary Actions:
-
Violations of these rules may result in warnings, removal from sessions or disqualification from the conference.

Serious breaches of conduct may be reported to the school administration for further action.

By adhering to these rules and regulations, we can ensure a productive, respectful and an enhancing for all participants at SKD MUN.
